Reflexology

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation, helping to reduce stress, increase wellbeing, and optimising the quality of health.

This touch therapy involves an application of specific pressure techniques – light or firm to meet your needs – to different points and meridians on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears which may correspond to different areas or systems of the body. As an individual treatment, the consultation process will consider physical and non-physical factors that might affect your wellbeing.

There is no doubt that reflexology provides a period of deep relaxation which produces subtle changes in the body, facilitating an internal balance. It can be used safely alongside standard healthcare to promote better health. Working on an individual basis, reflexology provides professional facilitation of your body’s own potential for wellbeing. There are scientific studies that support the positive effects that can be achieved by touch of this kind.

It can be received by anyone at any age, from new-born babies to those receiving end-of-life care, and everyone in between.
